Istanbul Doner House is a halal Turkish restaurant located in Mississauga near the intersection of Britannia rd west and Mavis AKA Mississauga Heartland. They only serve halal meat and there is no alcohol on the premises

The Chef and Staff have 20 years of experience cooking in the finest Turkish restaurants.

I had the opportunity to visit the restaurant last Saturday at 8pm, it was quite lively with many families dining in. We were able to get seated rather quickly as we were only two people.

I choose the Beef Iskender Kabob at the recommendation of the server and I had been wanting to try it out for quite a while.

We were served a complimentary Salad to start off, the salad contained: lettuce, tomato, onion, red cabbage, cucumbers and feta cheese. The salad was fresh and crisp and the cheese added a nice salty flavor.

It took about 30 minutes for us to get our food which was understandable given how busy the restaurant was.

The highlight of the night was the Beef Iskender Kabob, the dish had a massive portion of tender beef stacked up on top of a bed of cubed bread which would soak up all the delicious meat juices. The beef was topped with a tangy tomato sauce which was amazing and it help cut thorough the fattiness of the beef. There was also a massive dollop of yogurt on the side. They also gave us 3 sauces a garlic, spicy and yogurt with chives, I favored the spicy sauce as I love to eat spicy food.

I was only able to eat half of the portion and had to take the remaining home as I could not finish it. I had the left overs the next day and the food reheated well and was just as tasty.

Summary

Overall, It was an enjoyable experience, food the amazing and I would definitely visit again and bring my family. Istanbul Doner House is a place I recommend checking out if you are looking for halal turkish food in Mississauga
